1 HECTARE OF FOREST WAS ESTABLISHED IN BYURAKAN WITH THE FINANCING OF “ARMSWISSBANK” CJSC

On November 14, within the framework of the “10 million trees” program initiated by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, 1 Hectare of forest was established with the financing of “ARMSWISSBANK” CJSC. The employees of the Bank headed by the Executive director Mr. Gevorg Machanyan, as well as the employees of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia headed by Minister Mr. Romanos Petrosyan and head of the Departments had their personal participation in the works.

About three thousands trees will be planted on 1Hectare in Byurakan (oaks, pines, ash trees, forest pear, apple trees and other tree species). Considering the importance of the preservation of planted trees, with the financing of the Bank, will be carried out the works on the fencing of the newly planted forest area, as well as irrigation, aftercare and replacement of withered trees with new ones.

This event is the best example of government-business cooperation. “ARMSWISSBANK” CJSC emphasizing the unique role of social responsibility and Nature conservation, was the first to react to the offer of cooperation of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia. Green financing is amongst the strategic directions of the bank, therefore the Bank’s participation in such events will be continuous. The Bank’s directorate realizes that State-private field partnership is unique in the field of state building in the Republic of Armenia, which has been reflected many times in a number of projects implemented with various state bodies.
