ArmSwissBank participated in the closing event of the energy efficiency programme implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the support of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), organized in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
The event brought together representatives from government institutions, international organizations, financial institutions, and the private sector to discuss progress in Armenia's energy efficiency sector and explore future development directions.
Ara Makaryan, Deputy CEO of ArmSwissBank, took part in a panel discussion, presenting the role of banks in financing energy efficiency programmes and in developing the investment environment.
Within the framework of the programme, more than 470 buildings were thermally insulated, achieving energy savings of 20–60%, reducing utility costs, and strengthening the resilience of public infrastructure, while contributing to Armenia’s climate commitments.
The programme also supported the introduction of new financing mechanisms and risk-reduction instruments, making energy efficiency projects more accessible and attractive from an investment perspective.
ArmSwissBank continues its active engagement in sustainable development and green finance, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in enhancing the country’s energy security and climate resilience.
